Tour update #2!

What a whirlwind of a week we’ve had! We drove 45 hours across the country and we’ve made it to the west coast!
After eating gas station sandwiches for two days, (Yum!…) We arrived in Tacoma around 7:30AM Pacific time. Tired but in good spirits, we were glad to see that our rooms were ready and that a hot breakfast was right around the corner. When we arrived on site at the Tacoma Freedomfair and were warmly greeted by Gary, John, Wade and the other members of the Southsound Blues Association. After such a long trip they treated us like family and we enjoyed some time by the water. That afternoon Lindsay took part in the Southsound Blues Association’s Road to Memphis competition as a guest judge. Afterwards, we performed as the sunset over Puget Bay and were treated to a great fireworks display in the evening.

After a great stop at the Tacoma Freedomfair we drove North to Vancouver and performed at the Vancouver Island Music Festival! Thanks to everyone who came and for the warm response from the festival and the audience! Highlights for us include playing at the concert bowl, the epic blues explosion that took place on the Grierson stage and of course, free massages. We made lots of new friends and saw a few old ones as well!

We took the ferry back to the mainland the next day and drove to Harrison Hot Springs where we performed at the Harrison Festival of the Arts. Today we have a day to relax, unwind, swim, before we head off to Kelowna later this week!
